Maximum Height: La Caldera or Montaña de Lobos, with 127 meters above sea level
Age: the island arises in the Quaternary period and within this in the Pleistocene epoch. The beginning of the geological formation that Isla de Lobos produced is in Fuerteventura 135,000 years ago. Volcanic activity continued for up to 10,000 years on Isla de Lobos itself.
Population: officially there are no permanent residents. But there is a variable number of vacationers in the houses of El Puertito.
Visitors: There are no official data on the number of annual visitors. The proposal for partial modification of the PRUG 2016c goes from the current limitation of 200 visitors per day, to the figure of 704 as the maximum capacity to load insular.
Protections: Islote de Lobos Natural Park, Biosphere Reserve, Special Conservation Area.
